              Humans   and   Kelp

Kelp is extremely useful in this world. You may be using it when you don't even know you are. The US and other countries collect kelp from places they grow naturally (i.e. off the coast of California) to farm the kelp in an artificial environment. These harvested kelps yield (produce)algin, a substance used in the manufacturing of ice cream, toothpaste, salad dressing, beer, paper, cosemetics, and many other products.

Most of us eat kelp regularly, by consuming these products. Products made from kelp are used to thicken these foods.
